Last Thursday we had a Math Bee. It was really hard. I bet tons of people failed. Even the nerds said it was hard.

We all had to stand at the very back of the room and we all went by number. The teacher only used 12 desks for the test so there could only be 12 kids doing the test at once. There was one question at each desk and we had to switch desks every minute. Altogether there were 10 questions and 2 extra minutes to finish the questions we didn't do. It was impossible to finish! Who could finish a really frightening question like "A worker got $5000 commision which was 6% of how much he sold. How much did he sell? How much profit did the boss get if the costs were $7,500?"(okay, it wasn't exactly like this but close enough, I just got the numbers and stuff wrong) in one minute, especially when you're panicking, which was exactly what all, and I mean all, of us were doing? We couldn't work ahead and if we couldn't do the question we couldn't exactly go back either because the questions weren't copied onto the test and we never had enough time to copy down the queston either! I only managed to finish about 3 questions and the rest were only half done! I think Frances(one of the nerds) said she didn't finish any! It was that bad...*sigh*... So, basically, I've failed the bee and, probably, so has most of the 6th grade.
