School has finally started again!
Unfortunatly, school's still as boring as ever. The first day we didn't have the first two classes we had a huge cleanup during the first period. It took only about 3 minutes for me to finish my job though. Eventually everyone came back and then we all decided to spen the last 40 minutes reading(or whispering to each other, like some of the people did). However, after 30 minutes, Mr. Clemens asked us if we wanted to go to the gym, for opening ceremony, which, basically is just a long and boring lecture on stuff we don't want to know or, from my point of view, there's no point in being there unless you're mentioned or something, early. We voted and belive it or not, 3/4ths of the class wanted to go to the boring opening ceremony early! I brought along a book to keep me amused and then Mr. Clemens announced that we were going the looong route to the gym. Eventually we made it there, and spent a long boring hour in the gym. The rest of the day was just as boring.

My Dad says I have to find 10 words I don't know, find the definition, and then write a story using those words.

This year, Chinese New Year has been really really busy. You wouldn't belive how many relatives we had to visit. The good thing is, we got lots of money. The bad thing is, it was taken away to pay for our school fee. Oh, and we spent, like, 48 hours on the car
. The first day, which is Chinese New Year Eve, we stayed up until midnight playing Majoung at Grandma's Taipei house. I helped Mom and when she won, I got 100NT. Jerry helped Uncle Wei-yu. He also got 100NT when Uncle Wei-yu tsu-mwo and 50NT when he just won. Jerry got 700NT. I only got 200NT
. After I took my bath, it was about half an hour before midnight. We played a little more Majoung and when it was finally midnight, plopped into bed, and promptly fell asleep.The next day, when we woke up Gran told Jerry and I that we were going hiking
. But first they passed out the red envelopes. I got tons of money but then Mom took it all away to pay our school fee. She let us keep 1000NT to spend for the whole year. Then we had to go hiking. We hate hiking. And then, even worse, Dad insisted on walking all the way to the mountain, then hike up to the temple up there and then climb back down the long way! I asked if I could just stay home and play computer but then Mom said, "It's a family event so you have to go, period." So off we went and picked up Louis along the way. Ugh, you'd never belive how long the hiking took and when we finally got up the billions of stairs there was a humongous line just waiting to put the smoke thing in the cup thing! Then we rested a little, ate some sponge cake and candy, and watched the little kids that were there chase the birds. When we got ready to go I asked if I could play computer when we got back and Grandma said, "Yes, for 20 minutes". But then when we got back, the computer wouldn't work so I had an extra 20 minutes to play. We eventually decided to just go to Jongli and feed Black Dragon, our dog. So when we got there I got to play 20 minutes of computer

So far, my winter vacation hasn't been very interesting.
I havn't really done much during my winter vaction except for my math and chinese homework, piano, and practice wearing contacts. There's still tons of things I still haven't finished.

Today, at 4:00pm I had to go and practice wearing my contacts and try putting them on by myself. It was really really really annoying.
When we started out in Mom's car, there was tons of traffic and it was raining. After we finally got there, I checked in while Mom tried to find a parking space. that took a while and she finally came in after about 5~10 minutes. At that time I was still waiting for them to call my name. When Mom found that I was still waiting, she went to the eye doctor and asked that they please hurry up. Soon they called my name and did this thing where you put your eye up to this machine and you see a house, sometimes clear, sometimes blurry. Then they told me to go to that place where you practice the contacts. Since I already knew how to put them on, they let me try to put those on myself. After a whole lot of time, I finally got the right eye in, but then I found that it was off the pupil. As I tried to ajust it, it somhow came off and landed on top of the flat mirror that I was using. but I kept trying and eventually I got it straight on the eye pupil. And after that, I started trying to get another one on the left eye. Eventually, I got it for the first time and in it's proper position too! That's really rare because whenever I try that, it always, for some reason, ends up on the corner of my eye or something like that. It's annoying. It's always hard to get the contacts on because your eye keeps blinking especially when the contacts first touch the eye. As soon as I got it them both on, it was time for me to go. I quickly got them off(it's easier to take them off than to put them on), and said bye. Apparently there's another practice appiontment next Wednesday.

Today was much better than yesterday and a thousand times better than the day before that, I admit.
Today, as usual, we were late. But, at least there was some improvement. This time we were only 35 minutes late, not as bad as yesterday, 40 minutes, or the day before that, 45 minutes. 10 minutes earlier than when we first arrived. But then again, the more class you ditch the better, in some cases.
Anyway, the first thing we saw when we walked into the "classroom" was that, once again, the other kids were playing cards. Mr. lin gave them a couple minutes to play before starting class.

Today was the second day of the "science camp" that Mom signed us up for. Today wasn't as bad as yesterday.
Like yesterday, today, we were about 40 minutes late because Dad kept talking to Uncle Weii who works in Dad's business, Car2tw. And then, we found out that he didn't know the way to the teacher's house. Well, we didn't know the way either because yesterday, Dad kept forgetting things in Mom's car, like the house keys and stuff. So we had to keep going back and forth and around in circles and back to the house and...oh whatever. So we had to go all the way to mom's office, and find out that Coco's Mom is coming to get us.
So, when Coco's Mom dropped us off where the teacher was waiting, we were about 40 minutes late. When we got in his house, we found the rest of the kids playing some card game they called nine-nine or something. When the teacher announced that class was starting, he also announced that 2 of the kids were taking a vacation or something which is why they weren't there. The first brain teaser we did was that we were each given 25 paper pigs. 4 of them we weren't allowed to use. We were supposed to make 4 pens for them and each one had to have at least 1 pig in it, but every pen had to have an uneven number of pigs.

Today Jerry and I went to the most boring "science camp" in existence.
Mom dropped us off at the gate of the teacher's apartment house where the teacher was waiting. His name was Mr. Lin just like my piano teacher, only my piano teacher is a girl, not a boy. We were late 40 minutes because we were supposed to get there at 10:00am. Fortunatly, we weren't the only ones. My second grader friend, Coco, her friend, Jorryn(3rd grade), and her big brother Jerry(5th grade)
We first went to his house, and it was really really messy and crowded. He had 2 kids and there were other kids in the "camp" too. Counting myself, my brother Jerry, the 2 kids, Coco, her brother Jerry, and her friend, Jorryn, there were 11 kids. The first thing they gave us was a notebook. When we told them we didn't bring pencils, they also borrowed us some. We drew a

I can't belive winter vacation is almost over!
Winter vacation's almost over and we still haven't finished all the things we said we would do!

So far my winter vacation's been kind of boring. Even some parts of school would be more interesting.
Art, Computer, P.E., and stuff like that would be nice and exciting now. Especially Art. I really like Art class. We were making houses out of boxeslike miniature houses that we'd like when we grew up. Unfortunatly we had to share houses with other people. But at least we could have our own room and design that by ourselves. Mine is pretty good so far, I think. I share a house with Karina. Arianna used to be with us but she switched to Claire. So far our grade is 94. But that's not the final grade yet. P.E. we were playing kickball, but sometimes we also played dodgeball. I hate dodgeball, I don't like being hit. That's why I always try to be outfield. but when I can't I just try nom to get hit or try to get one of the outfielders on the other team hit me on purpose. Kickball, our team won the first match but the other team won the second match. We're not done with the third match though. I don't think anyone remembers the score anymore. The P.E. Finals was very simple. Get the ball to "1st" bse when the teacher tosses it to you. If you got the ball there before the runner, that's an extra point. I got 2/3 balls there because my aim's not really good and for that reason, I toss more carefully and slowly. The third ball, I was to hasty and missed the base so I got one miss that made it 2 instead of 3. Computer, well, Computer we didn't even have Finals, we got free time instead
