absenteeism= regular absence from work or school for a good reason
absolve= to say that someone should not be blamed for something
absorbent= can take in liquid through its surface
abysmal= very bad
abyss= a very dangerous or frightening situation
accentuate=to make something easier to notice
acrimonious= an acrimonious meeting, arguement, etc. Involves a lot of disagreement and anger
acrimony= very angry feelings between people, often expressed strongly
