Today was a great day! Today was the day before winter vacation! Today we had a humongous surprise party!
Today, the only actual classes we had were first class Chinese, and even then it was half free time. Also second class Humanities, which was when we scrubbed the whole classroom floor until it was really shiny with bleach water. Oh, and also Math class, but we watched Wall-E until it was time for Closing Ceremony. It was actually halfway into 3rd period (and continued till noon quiet time) when the excitement started.
Halfway through 3rd period double Humanities when we were starting to watch Wall-E, when the 6B homeroom teacher, Ms Savanna(I think that's her name), came and knocked on our door and ordered all of us to line up in 2 lines and then go down to the multi-function room with 6B. When we got to the door of the multi-function room, the first thing the people there made us do was choose a wad of paper that had the letters A, B, or C on them. That's how they sorted us in our teams and seats. I got the C team so I sat down on the left side of the room. Group B, I think, sat in the middle of the room so they got the best view. Elysia was in the B team. Karina was in the C group with me. So were Jen, Iris, Lucy, Ivy, Jenny, Angelica, and a bunch of other girls and boys like Chu, Alex, Brian W.,... A team sat on the right side of the room. We started with an introduction about the people that made us pick teams from the wads of paper. They were from the biggest company of electronics and computers in the world. They gave a prize to the first person who raised their hand to say that they knew who they were. It was a tie. Jason and Mathew I think got the prize. Then they explained that they were here because Chu, Jonathan Chu from our class, had won 1st place in the contest they hosted, which was to design a new cartoon network computer game. I can't believe he won against all the other people who entered in all of Taiwan. Then they actually gave Chu(Giffy helped hold it) a prize that was the most high-tech computer in existence that apparently cost 100,000NT dollars!!! It didn't need a mouse and you could move it by touching the screen like and I-touch! They brought 3 of those computers to school and then after they finished talking they let us have 2 different races against the other teams on those computers. The first one was a bowling contest. Whichever team got the most points won. My team won the bowling game, maybe because Jenny was the only person who got a strike. The second game was a game like this
abcdefghijklmnop
bcdefghijklmnopa
bcdefghijklmnopa
only it was with shapes instead of letters. When you got three in a row, it disappeared. The level was passed when you disappeared all the ones the computer wanted you to do. Whoever got the highest points won. Our team won again. It was excellent!
After that, they handed out the prizes to the winners, a hand pumped flashlight and a mousepad for some people.
Afterwards, we had lunch, which they bought from McDonalds. I was almost last in line so when I got there, there were no more McChickens so I had to get a fish hamburger instead. But otherwise my lunch was pretty much the same as everyone else's. I had a Coke, french fries with ketchup, and hamburger. I saved some of my Coke and french fries for Jerry.
After school wa s over I packed my whole cubby(or what was left of it)'s contents into my backpack, a purple bag with prizes that those people gave to everyone, and a teeny plastic bag for my smaller things. After I managed to drag everything to the playground, I found Jerry, told him off for not helping me with my stuff like Mom told him to and going off to HiLife instead, and called Mom to ask her to come get us.
